Family Counselling

The “UMC Experience” wants to further extend its work in serving the community.

The “UMC Experience” wants to further extend its work in serving the community. With the pressure of the modern world and Islam playing less of a role in peoples lives many Muslim households are in turmoil. As such people require direction, advice and guidance. There will be a booth set up for “Family Counselling” at UMC that will deal with such issues. Areas that the hosts will be able to address are:

  • Issues pertaining to forced marriages
  • Gender Interaction & Seeking a potential spouse
  • Divorce / Marriage Problems
  • Parenting Issues
  • Guidance with interaction with in-laws
  • Dealing with terminally ill family members
  • Alcohol and drug related issue
  • Resettlement & rehabilitation of family members released from Prison

By acting locally we can and are making changes globally. So let us cast aside any differences we have between us as united together we can do it!

And hold fast, all together, by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah's favour on you; for you were enemies and He joined your hearts in love, so that by His Grace, you became brethren; and you were on the brink of the pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus doth Allah make His Signs clear to you: That you may be guided.

Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong: They are the ones to attain felicity.

(Quran 3:103-104)
